LinkedIn boosts second-quarter revenue by 47%

Internet professional network LinkedIn increased its revenue in the second quarter of 2014 by 47% to $534m from $364m in the same period in 2013, the corporation has announced.

Internet professional network LinkedIn increased its revenue in the second quarter of 2014 by 47% to $534m from $364m in the same period in 2013, the corporation has announced.
In announcing its second-quarter of 2014 results, the company noted a change to how it classifies its recruitment media products, from Marketing Solutions to Talent Solutions. Recruitment media revenue was $18m in the second quarter of 2014, an increase from $12m during the same period in 2013.
The company continues to build its portfolio. Yesterday, the company announced the launch of Sales Navigator, which enables buyers to build relationships with what LinkedIn calls “the most relevant” sales professionals through an enterprise-focused Software as a Service (SaaS) product.
Last week, the company announced that it had acquired B2B marketing platform Bizo, which claims to serve 90% of the US business population.
