Job creation for Itron in Cork and Amelio Utilities in Belfast

US technology and services company Itron is setting up a Global Business Services centre in Cork, Ireland and creating up to 40 jobs by the end of the year.

US technology and services company Itron is setting up a Global Business Services centre in Cork, Ireland and creating up to 40 jobs by the end of the year.

The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Itron will be looking for experienced professionals – including in accounting, financial controls and financial administration – to join its Cork team in its new facility in City Gate Park, Mahon, Co. Cork.

In other news North of the border, Amelio Utilities in West Belfast is creating four new jobs in drainage and civil engineering services, thanks to more than £200k investment by Invest Northern Ireland.

The company, based at Work West Business Park, employs people in a range of civil engineering services including trenchless technology for major contractors in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
