Wed, 16 Jul 2014The public has until 23 July to comment to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on the proposed acquisition of digital recruitment group Evenbase by StepStone UK Holding.
Evenbase’s owner, the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), sold off many of the Evenbase digital subsidiaries such as Broadbean before agreeing the sale of its final holdings to StepStone in May.
Evenbase currently includes job boards Jobsite, CityJobs.com and eMedCareers.com. StepStone owns the Totaljobs Group of industry sector job boards, which it purchased from Reed Business Information in 2012.
In a statement, the CMA said it was considering whether the proposed merger-acquisition would result in “a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the UK for goods or services”.
