Thompson Aero Seating, the designer and manufacturer of business class seats for commercial airlines, is creating 85 manufacturing jobs in Portadown after a £10m investment in the company.

Northern Ireland enterprise minister Arlene Foster said the jobs would “generate £3.5m in annual salaries for the local economy” and enable Thompson Aero Seating to continue to meet tight airline delivery schedules.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered Thompson Aero Seating £1.7m to support the jobs, which will help boost production capacity to meet growing demand.
