Skills for Logistics in partnership with Future Horizons, the Career Development Partnership, Jobcentre Plus and logistics employers has developed a traineeship programme for those leaving the military.

The programme aims to provide the skills that military leavers need to go into either a logistics apprenticeship or a full-time logistics career.

Over a 10-week period, the traineeship programme will give practical learning and ‘work-ready skills’, both in the classroom and on-site at the workplace.

The training also aims to give individuals confidence, through coaching and mentoring. At the end of the programme, there will be a guaranteed job interview with the opportunity of a job placement with a quality logistics company.

The traineeship programme is open to anyone who has left the military aged between 16 and 24, is unemployed and a resident of the East Midlands.
