The jobless rate in Australia’s Northern Territory fell to 3.3% in May, the lowest in the country, as the economy benefited from significant liquefied natural gas investment, the Australian government treasurer Joe Hockey MP has said in a statement.

According to Hockey, the territory’s unemployment rate, which fell from 3.5% the month earlier, is a good example of the type of job creation seen across the country in 2014.
In the first five months of this year, over 100,000 full-time jobs have been added to the economy.
