The Welsh outdoor activities sector created 8,243 jobs in 2013 and is worth almost half a billion pounds to the economy, according to a study by social and economics consultancy Miller Research.

The Welsh outdoor activities sector created 8,243 jobs and is worth almost half a billion pounds to the economy, according to a study by social and economics consultancy Miller Research.
Of these jobs, 5,783 are supported by day-trippers, 2,254 are supported by domestic overnight visitors, and 206 are from international overnight visitors.
The value-added contribution of outdoor activity tourism in Wales accounts for 10% the Welsh tourism economy.
