The survey of more than 37,000 employers in 42 countries found 36% of global employers reporting difficulties with filling open positions – the second consecutive year that this percentage has increased.
In mainland Europe, 27% of employers are struggling to fill open positions, while in the UK the figure is only 12%.
Almost half of employers who are addressing talent shortages are doing so through non-traditional methods, such as training and development for existing staff or using unconventional or new recruitment practices.
