The automotive sector is the most attractive industry in which to work, according to a survey by Randstad UK, the specialist recruiter.

The annual survey of more than 9,000 UK workers, found that the automotive sector was the most popular industry, closely followed by pharma & life sciences then the professional services industries.  The least attractive sectors were business services, utilities & energy, and transport & logistics.

The UK’s automotive popularity has risen steadily in recent years. In Randstad’s 2011 survey, just 36% of those interviewed said the automotive sector was as attractive industry to work in. By 2012, this had risen to 40%.  It dropped slightly in 2013 to 39% before soaring to 50% this year.
