BBC hires Hughes-D’Aeth to head up people division

The BBC has hired Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth to lead the broadcaster’s people division from August this year.
Thu, 17 Apr 2014The BBC has hired Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth to lead the broadcaster’s people division from August this year.

Hughes-D’Aeth has more than 30 years’ operational HR experience, including 10 years as group HR director in large, complex organisations of a similar size to the BBC.

She is currently working as group HR and communications director for public services provider Amey, a £2.3bn organisation with 21,000 employees, and will continue to do so until the end of July. Prior to joining Amey five years ago, Hughes-D’Aeth worked as group HR director for Xansa and subsequently Steria.
