More than a third (35%) of grooming businesses are planning to hire more staff in 2014, new research shows.
The Salon Services’ third annual Beautiful Britain report found the rise of male grooming has increased optimism and estimates up to 21,000 jobs will be created this year.
According to the survey, staffing increases to cater for more men have seen average salon employment grow from 1.9 full-time and 1.5 part-time employees in 2012 to 2.5 full-time and 2.3 part-timers.
