Barclays has launched a programme to provide 1,200 traineeships, which includes a pledge to provide 300,000 training hours for those aged 16-24 not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Barclays has launched a programme to provide 1,200 traineeships, which includes a pledge to provide 300,000 training hours for those aged 16-24 not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Developed as part of Barclays commitment to tackling youth unemployment, the traineeships will provide work-based learning and skills tutoring, combined with a placement at a Barclays branch, contact or operations centre.
Of the traineeships offered, it is hoped 600 candidates will then progress to interview for Barclays apprenticeships and the opportunity to secure permanent employment.
