It takes an average of 119 working days across the EU for recruitment companies to complete a tender for public sector work, according to data from public sector procurement consultancy Spend Network.

This puts recruitment mid table in a table of rankings by Spend Network, whose database contains details of more than 1.8m tenders across Europe.

Tenders for architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services take the longest, averaging 145 days. At the other end of the scale, the tender process for forestry services providers is only 81 working days.
