Thu, 20 Feb 2014Asia Pacific insurance recruiter Stirling Andersen has acquired Singapore commerce and industry and financial services sector recruiter TRC.
The acquisition is a result of TRC Group’s decision to consolidate its business and focus solely on its successful Australian operation.
The business will be led by existing country head of TRC, Steve Hutchinson, who has over 10 years’ recruitment experience in the region. All existing staff will be retained, according to Nick Cowdery, managing director of Stirling Andersen.
Cowdery says the plan is to focus mainly on the life, actuarial and general insurance markets.
Andersen Partnership chairman, Niall Hamill, says: “This is our fifth office opening in the past four years and the first of three new offices in Asia Pacific this year.
“We are also at advanced stages for new service offerings in Auckland and Hong Kong, which we hope to announce over the coming months.
“This brings headcount in the region to almost 100 consultants and we would look to grow this substantially over the next year.”
