ReThink Energy, the oil and gas arm of ReThink Recruitment has extended its candidate training courses to include employers in Angola.
The move is part of its on-going commitment to improve the recruitment experience for nationals and support the country’s ‘Angolanisation’ policy.
The latest personal development course saw over 100 Angolan nationals take part in targeted training on issues such as preparing a CV and interview techniques.
Under decree-law 20/823 and the ‘Angolanisation’ targets, companies engaged in the oil & gas sector are obliged to employ 70% of their staff from the Angolan community to create a more balanced local and expat workforce.
Alan Darling, practice manager, ReThink Energy, says: “The oil industry in Angola continues to grow at a rapid pace and shows no signs of slowing, so the opportunities are enormous for those willing to work hard; they just need the tools to succeed in the recruitment process.”
