De La Rue appoints Carillion’s Rogerson as temporary chief executive

De La Rue, the commercial banknote printer, announced that Philip Rogerson, chairman of support services giant Carillion, and who is also non-executive chairman of De La Rue, has been appointed executive chairman of De La Rue on a temporary basis.

The appointment follows news that De La Rue's current chief executive officer Tim Cobbold has tendered his resignation and will leave following the financial year-end on 29 March 2014.

Carillion is a British-based international support services and construction services company, providing services and manpower for facilities and construction projects. Staffing solutions are provided through its SkyBlue recruitment solutions division.

Rogerson will retire from the board of Carillion on 7 May 2014.
