Fri, 10 Jan 2014 | By Christopher GoodfellowThe Recruitment Society has stopped charging membership fees in an attempt to ensure its meetings have the widest possible range of attendees.

Adrian Thomas, chair of the recruitment society, tells recruiter.co.uk: “We think we will attract an even wider range of people. We want to remove any blocks where we are seen as a competitor; this means anybody can come and join the debate.”

Thomas adds event sponsorship will help pay towards the cost of running the organisation.

The Recruitment Society previously charged £1k for corporate memberships, which normally included between eight and 16 organisations, and £150 for individual members.
