Spain’s economy minister says the country will see a “net creation of jobs” in 2014, with a drop in unemployment, Reuters reports.

Luis de Guindos, speaking to radio station Cadena Ser, also suggested labour reforms announced at the end of December should make the labour market “more dynamic”.
Guindos’ prediction comes despite the fact that a Manpower study released in December suggested Spain would be one of the weakest countries globally for Q1 2014 recruitment.
And last month Spain’s jobs shortage was also highlighted when the careers website for jobs at a new IKEA store in the East of the country crashed due to the high volume of applicant interest.
