Executive recruiter Argyll Scott has acquired actuarial recruitment agency Acumen Resources’ UK business.

Steve Leeson, managing director of Acumen Resources UK, who has joined Argyll Scott’s management team, says: “Continued changes to both the regulatory and demographic environment will, we believe, drive significant growth in demand for actuaries.
“Joining forces with Argyll Scott means we now have the backing and infrastructure that comes with being part of a well-established recruitment business. In turn, this will allow us to realise our ambitious plans for the growth of our specialist actuarial practice and become the number one actuarial recruitment practice in the UK.”
Acumen Resources, which recruits in the general and life insurance markets in both the corporate and advisory sectors, will continue to operate under the same brand.
