A survey from job site totaljobs.com finds that 83% of jobseekers aged over 60 think they have been rejected for a job because of their age.

Those aged 51 to 60 are also concerned, with 73% thinking ageism has stopped them getting a job, finds the survey of 1,400 user of the site.
It also shows that over 80% of jobseekers above 50 have kept their date of birth off their CV.
Totaljobs.com director John Salt says the survey is “alarming”, and points out that such discrimination is, of course, illegal.
