Orion opens Rio office to increase Latin American recruitment

Engineering and resources recruiter Orion Group has opened its first South American office in Rio de Janeiro.

The firm, which saw a 15% rise in turnover and a doubling of profits in 2012, held a launch event on Wednesday (30 October) at the residence of Paula Walsh, Her Majesty’s consul general in Rio, where guests included Kenneth Clarke MP.
The new office is headed by chief operating officer Gary Benson, who joined the company in April. Benson says: “Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and we’ll be there to ensure there is a pool of highly skilled personnel to help sustain this growth.”
The company has 401 staff across 36 worldwide offices and its Inverness headquarters.
