Omega Resource Group signs five-year staffing deal for Laithwaite’s

Gloucestershire recruiter Omega Resource Group has signed a five-year contract to provide recruitment services to wine distributors Laithwaite’s Wines worth around £15m.

The deal will see Omega supply around 250 shop floor and 160 call centre workers to its client.

The organisations have worked together since 2009 when the recruiter was engaged to deliver a warehouse staffing contract with Laithwaite’s, since expanding the relationship to include the company’s call centre staffing.

Andy Hawker, head of customer fulfilment at Laithwaite's Wines, notes that Omega has achieved lower staff attrition rates than Laithwaite’s has previously seen.

He adds: “This is a true partnership founded on mutual respect that we intend to nurture for years to come.”

NHS Trust plans to cut jobs and agency staff

The BBC reports today [30 April 2025] that the North-West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is planning job cuts, as well as cutting its expenditure on bank and agency staff.
