Turnover fell to £12.8m, and Antal’s loss after tax of £700k compares with profit of £1.1m made by the recruiter in the previous year. Staff levels at Antal dropped from 332 to 285.
The results also break down turnover into geographies – UK turnover was up just under 50% to £2m, rest of EU fell 17% to £7.1m and rest of the world by 16% to £3.7m.
This comes after a busy couple of weeks for the recruiter, in which sold its Polish arm to a local recruitment firm, and also hired Tremayne Elson as the new chief executive officer, with its managing director and finance directors leaving the company.
