But the quarterly research of over 65,000 hiring managers across 42 countries, available to view via the company’s website, shows few signs of improvement in global hiring momentum in the longer term.
The majority (85%) of 2,101 UK firms surveyed said they weren’t planning on making any changes to workforce size in Q4, with 9% expecting it to increase and 3% expecting a decrease, making a net employment outlook of 6% for the second consecutive quarter, after 4% registered in the first survey of the year and the final survey of 2012.
The survey also finds emerging markets leading the way for hiring intentions, with India the most positive, followed by Taiwan, Panama, Singapore and Brazil.
The US’s outlook is at its strongest in over five years, while Europe is the weakest region globally.
