Amazon is working with local recruitment agencies to hire 15,000 staff to work at its UK fulfilment and customer service centres during the Christmas period.

A spokesperson from Amazon told Recruiter: “We are working with local recruitment agencies to fill the roles and will be recruiting throughout the run up to Christmas.”
The 15,000 positions is an increase of 50% on the previous year.
Catherine McDermott, director of operations at Amazon.co.uk, says: "As we continue to expand our UK operations, we expect many hundreds of these temporary associates to move into permanent positions as has been the case in previous years."
Amazon is creating jobs in a variety of roles across its eight UK fulfilment centres, in Doncaster, Dunfermline, Gourock, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Rugeley and Swansea Bay, and at its Edinburgh customer service centre.
