The move comes the week after the professional social network’s Q2 financial results showed the growing prominence of recruitment as a revenue-generator for the business.
The ‘Apply’ button, already available on the regular desktop version of LinkedIn, is now available on the mobile web version, as well as on its apps for Android and Apple devices.
The company says in a blog post that the function was added because “you [i.e. users] asked us to”, in that 30% of members who view jobs posted on LinkedIn come from mobile devices.
