International executive recruiter Heidrick & Struggles has taken on new senior vice president (SVP) for HR Karleen Mussman, a chief accounting officer and deputy general counsel.

Mussman was previously HR leader for Americas at management consultants AT Kearney, as well as global HR director at oil firm BP.

SVP, controller and chief accounting officer Karen Pepping, who will report directly to chief financial officer Richard Pehlke, has 27 years’ finance experience, most recently at aviation products firm AAR Corp.

Cynthia Lance arrives as SVP and deputy general counsel, and brings 16 years of legal and management experience, primarily in financial services, most recently at First Midwest Bancorp. All three are based in Chicago.
