Staffing firm USG People is rolling out new professional recruitment brands and rebranding existing offerings, having sold its general staffing assets to recruitment group Randstad earlier this month.

Under the ‘unusual’ €20m (£17m) deal, Randstad took on the general staffing operations that USG called its “relatively low-yield activities” in Austria, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain and Switzerland.

The introduction of the USG Professionals brand will see the Almere, Netherlands-based company focus professional recruiting activities in the engineering, finance, HR, ICT, legal, marketing, communication & sales and science sectors.

A variety of existing brand names are being changed to come under the USG Professionals banner. So far, the company has introduced USG Legal Professionals in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, and launched USG Marketing, Communication & Sales Professionals in Belgium. Last year also saw the acquisition of Control, soon to become USG Finance Professionals, in the Netherlands.

According to Hubert Vanhoe, USG’s chief operational officer, the plan is in line with a scheme unveiled by the company in 2011.
