Freelancer.com has acquired international outsourcing marketplace company vWorker.  

vWorker has 2.5m users, 1.3m projects and a turnover of $139m (£87m). Formerly RentaCoder.com, vWorker was founded in 2001.

Matt Barrie, chief executive of Freelancer.com, says: “I am immensely pleased to announce the acquisition of vWorker, which has the absolute best reputation in the industry for sourcing the finest programmers.”
