The German government is pushing for the mandatory hiring of “outside experts to help collect taxes, fight corruption and privatise government assets in Greece”, according to today’s Financial Times.

The paper suggests that the measures, which would be part of conditions for Greece receiving a financial bailout, “would go further than ever before in asserting international control” over the troubled nation’s finances.
