RECRUITMENT OF HUMAN resources staff is on the rise at small-and-medium enterprises within fi nancial services and the insurance industry as the new year begins, according to HR recruiter Oakleaf Partnership.

Of the larger banks, Barclays and RBS appeared to be conducting the most hiring of HR staff, Oakleaf’s research revealed.
“At the senior end of the market (£100k+), organisational development, senior business partner and reward roles seem to be reappearing with the New Year and new budgets imminent,” an Oakleaf spokesman said. Most recent hiring, or 32%, was done at the vice president level with the least, 18%, at roles paying £80k and above, as 2011 drew to a close.
