Online intern recruitment solution Intern Avenue has won £100k of funding from entrepreneur Peter Jones on BBC television show Dragons’ Den, following an appearance by founder Dupsy Abiola (pictured left) on the programme, shown last night (7 October 2012).

Jones invested the money in return for 30% of the business, having initially made the offer in return for a 40% stake. Fellow Dragon Hilary Devey had also made an offer.

Abiola tells Recruiter: “The Dragons very rarely go for websites and never recruitment solutions. It was great to receive not one, but two offers of investment.”

She adds that being on the Den was “an amazing opportunity”, and that “the feedback I gathered was invaluable”.

Abiola concludes: “The Den has been a really positive experience but is only part of what we hope will be a fantastic success story. The hard work really only begins now.”
