Business insolvencies in September drop

The number of businesses declaring insolvencies in September dropped to 1,679, 3.1% down on the same month in 2011, according to the latest BusinessIQ Insolvency Index from Experian, the global information services company.

The number of businesses declaring insolvencies in September dropped to 1,679, 3.1% down on the same month in 2011, according to the latest BusinessIQ Insolvency Index from Experian, the global information services company.

However, there was a slight increase within insolvencies of larger firms with 51 to 500 people. The business services sector saw a marginal rise of 0.07% in the number of insolvencies over the year.
