British workers lose faith in leaders
British workers are increasingly losing faith in their leaders, according to new research.
The research from HR consultants BlessingWhite found that while 71% trusted their line manager, only 48% had any faith in their senior management team.
Despite this good feeling toward line managers, half of them (51%) plan to move on during the current year and 29% of them shared their team’s lack of faith in senior management.
Tom Barry, European managing director at BlessingWhite, said: "Our research has revealed that many senior managers appear to be issuing strategies from an ivory tower. Their direction can't filter through middle managers that don't trust them."
