More than half of UK workers say their relationship has broken down due to their partner’s job, according to new data from HireScores.com.

The data shows that when asked the question “has your relationship breakdown ever been a result of either yours or your partner’s job?”, 53% answered yes, while 31% said no and the remaining respondents were unsure.

More than one in 10 (11%) said that infidelity within the workplace was the main reason, with 56% of these admitting that they had been cheated on while the other 44% confessed that they had been unfaithful with a colleague or client.

So next time your other half says they’ve got a client meeting to go to, reach for the Yellow Pages and look under ‘Private detectives’.
