Virgin Atlantic is looking online for its recruitment of 200 new call centre jobs in Swansea, according to a spokesperson for the airline.
Virgin Atlantic announced this week it will open a new call centre at Alexandra House in Swansea which will field customer service and sales calls as well as inquiries from Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyer club.
The spokesperson told Recruiter that candidates will be attracted via the Virgin Atlantic website and its candidate management system i-grasp to manage anticipated volumes.
According to the spokesperson, agencies are not likely to be used to fill these roles, adding that the airline feels it can attract the necessary volume and calibre of candidates through attending local jobs fairs, using job centre services and making contacts with local colleges, universities and jobs boards.
The spokesperson adds that some of Virgin Atlantic’s Crawley temporary staff will help the start-up of the new business with staff wanting to move reviewed on a case by case basis.
