Vacancies are picking up with employer confidence growing, according to the latest ‘Talent spotlight’ from multi-sector recruiter Badenoch & Clark.

The Spotlight shows that there has been growth in the number of professional vacancies including banking, financial services, fmcg, property and retail. There is also more demand for HR, IT and finance professionals who have the necessary technical, commercial and communication skills to add value as business partners in the wider business.

According to Neil Wilson, managing director, Badenoch & Clark, opportunities remain in the public sector and for HR professionals with international capabilities.

“In spite of reports of cost cutting in the public sector and uncertainty about the outcome of a general election, there are still opportunities for professionals in the public sector. This includes demand for consultants, accountants with strong cost control experience, project management professionals and contract managers.”
