UK employees are failing to make to most of social networks to further their careers, according to the latest Kelly Global Workforce Index.

UK employees are failing to make to most of social networks to further their careers, according to the latest Kelly Global Workforce Index.

The index reveals only one in five people in the UK search for jobs on social media networks leaving the UK near the bottom of the global rankings in 25th place.

The top five places for using social media were Indonesia, Africa not including South Africa, Malaysia, Portugal and India.

Katie Ivie, HR director at Kelly Services UK, says: “Now is the time candidates should be developing a strong online presence on professional social networks to take advantage of the opportunities they offer and stand out from the crowd.”
