Trade association the Institute of Recruiters (IOR) has parted company with director of sales Dave Barber, according to the organisation’s website.
It explains that with Barber’s decision to move fully into the rec-to-rec industry, “it was felt by both sides that this activity could be deemed as conflicting with the aspirations and goals of the institute”. Director general Azmat Mohammed comments: “While we are satisfied that his [Barber’s] personal activities remain entirely separate in every capacity to the institute, both sides were of the opinion that an entire separation would be the most ethical course of action.”Barber expressed an interest in returning to the IOR after his new project is completed, and thanked the organisation “for leaving the door open”.
Barber also spent five years as regional director of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, prior to his time with the IOR.
