The director of employment and remuneration at Disneyland Paris, Jean-Noël Thiollier, said he was pleased with the company’s recent
recruitment drives (28-31 October) in London and Birmingham for Christmas and next summer’s season (see recruiter.co.uk, 30 October).
He told Recruiter: “We met with more than 50 candidates at the ‘Signpost to Europe’ event in Birmingham and at our head office in Hammersmith, London. We have offered 47 candidates positions at Disneyland Paris, mostly for the Christmas season, in various roles including food, merchandise and guest relations.”
Thiollier continued: “We were impressed by the high standard of the candidates, and especially their excellent grasp of the French language. The UK remains a very important market for Disneyland Paris and we look forward to planning more recruitment events in the country next year.”
Although Shanghai Disneyland has just been given the thumbs up from the powers-that-be in Beijing, Recruiter understands that Thiollier won’t be involved with recruiting for the new theme park.
