Candidate confidence in landing a new job within six months has fallen in the UK, according to the latest Randstad Workmonitor.

Candidate confidence in landing a new job within six months has fallen in the UK, according to the latest Randstad Workmonitor.

TheWorkmonitor reveals confidence decreased in Spain, Greece, Japan and the UK, with the UK showing the biggest decrease (-9%).

Meanwhile, India is the only country where employees have gained confidence in finding a comparable job (+5% to 90%).

Consequently, the fear of losing their job risen. The research finds Belgian, Danish and Swiss employees are more afraid of losing their job than they were three months ago.

The mobility index rose by three points, with the indices in India, Switzerland and Denmark increasing by 10 or more points – India has the highest mobility index of all 27 countries in the survey.

The index also found that within most countries the level of satisfaction remained the same.
