Following a controversial advertising campaign regarding career women by the Outdoor Advertising Association (OAA), outdoor advertising firm Transport Media has announced that it is leaving the OAA.

Transport Media says the campaign offended clients’ staff and family members due to negative remarks regarding how career women make bad mothers.

The firm also said that it is appalled that only a small percentage of OAA members were consulted on the campaign, adding that the campaign had “misrepresented and unfairly judged working mothers all over the country”.

Transport Media adds that it is now considering running its own national taxi campaign declaring that ‘Career women make brilliant mothers.’

The OAA has said in previous statements that the ads will now be removed.
