Training professionals are increasingly in demand, according to Lynne Hardman, managing director, professional services atBadenoch & Clark.

In the latest Badenoch & Clark talent spotlight, Hardman says:“L&D professionals have been increasingly in demand since the beginning of 2011. Opportunities cross both public and private sectors, but the emphasis is tending to be at the specialist and managerial level. Organisations are feeling more confident about the future and are now willing to make these longer-term investments.

“As companies focus on staff training and development, there are increasing specialist opportunities for providing training in HR. Specific areas of demand include technical training experts in financial services, strategic resource for CPD programmes within professional services, and the training of technical sales teams in the wider commercial sector.”

“FMCG, logistics and manufacturing are all sectors that are actively hiring HR professionals, particularly at the senior Business Partner level. The retail, financial services and IT sectors are also driving up demand, particularly for L&D and job evaluation roles.”
