Four North American technology firms have announced job creation in Ireland in the past week, reports the Belfast Telegraph.

Canadian business technology firm Pivot Acquisition leads the way with 175 new jobs this year and next year at an IT centre in Galway, having created 25 so far this year already.

US cloud computing firm Engine Yard will create 30 jobs, fellow US telecommunications firm Pinger 15 jobs and US mid-market and small enterprise business IT provider Commence 20 jobs - all based in Dublin.
