Syntax merges with The UK Career Consultancy

L-r: Charlotte Coe and Roger Frost

Derby-based IT and engineering recruiter Syntax Consultancy has merged with industrial Nottingham recruitment agency The UK Career Consultancy (UKCC).

The merger aims to strengthen Syntax’s service to engineering and technical firms throughout not just the Midlands but the UK. The move follows Syntax’s merger last October with Arcanza IT support services and Software Training Services.

UKCC director Charlotte Coe moves across to Derby to head up the engineering and technical permanent and contract recruitment team.

Roger Frost, Syntax’s managing director, says: “We have a solid client base of larger engineering and technical clients particularly in the energy and aerospace industries and UKCC has an excellent reputation working with Midlands-based SMEs.

“This merger will therefore enable those smaller companies – many of whom are suffering from skills shortages particularly at management level – to also benefit from our wider services and proven expertise.”

Human skills as important as ‘oven-ready’ tech skills
