News of the growth is attracting the interest of “big players from investment banks” but Standard Chartered is keen to develop indigenous workforces in locations such as Asia, Haley said. In some instances, Standard Chartered is training workers in business English before dispatching them globally. A planned talent exchange between China and India may prove a draw to employees eager to learn how their national rivals operate.
