Standard Chartered Bank is recruit 1,800 new staff into its financial markets unit over the next three years, according to news agency Bloomberg.

Bloomberg says that the firm is to double the headcount in the unit from 1,700 to 3,500, with most new hires occurring in businesses operating in Asia-Pac/emerging markets.
