Social networking sites are not the best way for niche job boards to attract candidates, according to niche job board, Jobs4Medical.co.uk

Vicky Scott, operations manger at Jobs4Medical, told Recruiter: “Because we are a niche job board we are looking for very specific people that are very experienced in the industry, and even work in certain locations. If we used social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, it would be very difficult be to narrow candidates down to those of the calibre we want.”

Scott says the company prefers to use others methods of attracting and registering candidates. These include, jobs fair, and exhibitions where they talk to candidates direct.

Scott adds: “We haven’t found that they have had any affect on us yet, though I think they will it will in the future.”
