As the UK economy emerges from the doldrums sharing business among smaller recruiters is set to increase, according to White Horse Employment.
Emma Roberts, support services manager at White Horse Employment, told Recruiter: “With the jobs that we are getting, we have seen an increase in permanent jobs. There are certain niches out there and as a commercial specialist, we may not have the ability to meet specific skills but by using a TEAM (The Employment Agents Movement) member, we can share the business.”
Last week, White Horse Employment’s recruiters won a £1,000 cash prize for their innovative shared business techniques in a national competition held by TEAM. The competition was held to recognise the support and development of shared business among over 300 independent recruitment agencies.
Sarah Matthews, recruitment manager at White Horse Employment, says: “Many organisations believe undertaking their own recruitment has been a cost-saving measure.
“But in reality our clients have recognised the substantial saving we have made them, with the flexibility of temporary workers and using effective recruitment methods. This has resulted in improved staff retention in permanent recruitment and being able to share this business with our TEAM network members has ensured the stability of independent agencies.”
