Two former Hays directors have launched new compliance, risk, financial crime and audit recruitment agency Seymour John.
Co-founders and directors Emlyn John and Mark Seymour spent 11 and 28 years with Hays respectively, with Seymour spending time as country director for Wales. They are joined in the new agency by Seymour’s daughter Louisa Seymour, who spent the last two years with Michael Page.
John tells Recruiter that while the business is based in Gloucestershire and will focus on the Midlands and the M4 Corridor, it will be working on UK-wide roles. He adds that amongst its practice areas, conduct risk and cyber crime are areas that “will be buoyant” looking forward.
He also tells Recruiter that the company will donate 5% of net profit from permanent placements to The John C Thomas Children’s Foundation, the charity he set up 12 years ago. He comments: “I wanted to set up a business that could support the charity in a true partnership.”
